Burton Learn To Ride

Burton Learn To Ride is a program dedicated to the promotion of snowboarding and was initiated in 1998 by Burton Snowboards in collaboration with snowboarding schools around the world, showing that snowboarding can be learned with pleasure and ease.
The main goal of this program is to offer beginners a happy first experience, with the right equipment and specialized instructors, so that they get a taste of this sport and return to the slopes as soon as possible.Experienced riders have the chance to advance in freestyle snowboarding, boardercross or freeride / backcountry through the Learn To Ride program.
To learn the basic movements in snowboarding, Burton Snowboards provides special equipment dedicated to the beginners enrrollled in the Learn To Ride program. For example, the boards have a special construction, with a wider sidecut than a regular board for easier turning, and also less sharp edges for a smoother descent for beginners. The girls’ equipment is different than for boys, better adapted to the female anatomy.

The Burton Learn To Ride Project Romania program was initiated in the winter of 2002-2003, within the PR program of Boarder’s Shop, Burton’s partner store in Romania. Year after year the project was developed in tours that have traveled the country far and wide, allowing people to taste the unique experience of snowboarding. The Boarder’s Learn To Ride team was present in Sinaia, Azuga, Bușteni, Poiana Brașov, Izvoare, Păltiniș, Muntele Mic, Cavnic resorts where over 1,000 people so far have taken their first steps in snowboarding and have remained passionate about this sport.
